 如何制作桃胶?

2人份:

  1. 取约10粒桃胶,置于较深的干净器皿中,清水浸泡。
  2. 在15-25℃的室温中,或置于冰箱内发泡约12-24小时,中小颗粒大概18小时可以完全泡发开,较大颗粒需要20-24小时才发透。泡发越透,口感越爽脆。期间换水1-2次。
  3. 桃胶泡发透彻后,包裹在里面的杂质很容易就掉出来了,用手指或镊子挑干净,过两次清水即可。
  4. 加入适量水,水烧开后,慢火煮约30分钟,炖盅炖的话,慢火约40-60分钟,最后加入冰糖或蜂蜜调味即可。
  5. 在第4步中,可按个人喜好,加入不同的食材做出自己的独创甜品哦!

保存:

请将桃胶置于干燥阴凉处,避免阳光直照;避免儿童接触,以防误吞。

"The tears of the peach blossom" is a poetic name to describe Peach Gum. It is actually resin that is secreted from the bark of the Chinese peach tree. It then hardens in crystal form looking like amber crystals. Therefore, it has irregular shapes, sizes, different color tone ranging from amber to translucent.

Peach gum is super hydrophilic, smooth and tasteless, these features make it be considered as a gentle natural intestine healthy food. After soaking in water, it can become 5 to 10 times bigger, crystal-clear, fluffy and its texture is just like jello; and since peach gum is tasteless,  it's up to you to add other ingredients to pair with it to create hundreds of delicious desserts.  

How to enjoy Peach Gum?

Prepare for 2 people portion:

  1. Put about 10 pcs peach gum into a big deep clean bowl. Add in water to fill 80% of the bowl. 
  2. Keep them at room temperature between 15-25 ℃ or place them in the fridge for 12-24 hours, depends on how big the piece is. You may rinse once or twice during this long soaking time to remove some impurity. 
  3. Clean and rinse well. Pick or rinse the dark and solid pieces away since they are the bark or leaves of the peach trees. The longer time the peach gum has been soaked in water, the easier the impurities can be washed away. 
  4. Cook the fluffy jelly-like soaked peach gum with water for 30 minutes. Sweetened with sugar or honey. 
  5. Make your own favorite creation with peach gum.

Store:

Keep peach gum in a cool dry place, away from children and direct sunlight.

Caution:

Keep it away from children since dry peach gum is small and hard, choke is foreseeable if it's been mistaken. Please consult your health care practitioner prior if you have any health concern ,you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
